Welcome to a very image heavy blog. Today, I present to you some images from my very first Camera Walk. The purpose of the Camera Walk is to try and get me taking photos for fun again. When your passion becomes your job, sometimes the fun begins to disappear and you start to lose sight of why you fell in love with the art form in the first place. It’s been a long time since I’ve shot anything that isn’t commercial or model based, so I really felt like a novice when I set myself this challenge.
Luckily though, the weather was definitely on my side and I timed golden hour to perfection meaning I really got the best light of the day. I chose Woodgate Valley as the location as recently, I am becoming increasingly aware of my surroundings. I know this sounds strange, but I have really started to pay more attention to what is around me. The colours, the textures, the light and the scenery have all become 3D to me again, as if someone has removed a blindfold I wasn’t aware that I was even wearing. This is possibly down to the fact we’ve moved recently, so everything is new and there’s still a lot to be discovered.
So here we are, without further ado, I bring you a beautiful Autumnal afternoon. Enjoy.
Does anything beat a blue sky so late in the year?
Some things work both ways.
There’s still a few colourful plants hanging on.
Along with Blackberries as far as the eye can see.
Maybe I’m just a little indecisive…
Who can resist a friendly face? Wherever you go, there’s always some awesome characters waiting for you to meet.
Until next time.
